Danny Bogar
President, Stanford Group Holdings
Danny Bogar joined Stanford in August 2000 as managing director of the Capital Markets Division, and in January 2004, he was asked to head Stanford Group Holdings. Mr. Bogar has over 20 years’ experience building multibillion dollar companies from the ground up and has served on the boards of several multinational private and public companies. Prior to joining Stanford, he was the president of the Latin American Region of CellStar before becoming the president of the Americas Region. Mr. Bogar earned a BBA in marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University, and he holds an MBA in finance from the University of St. Thomas.
Chuck Weiser
Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer
Stanford Group Holdings Inc. Executive Vice President and CFO Charles (Chuck) M. Weiser has been with Stanford since 2005 and previously served as senior vice president in Stanford’s Merchant Banking group.
Prior to joining Stanford, Chuck spent ten years in public accounting with UHY Advisors, Inc., the fifteenth largest public accounting firm in the country, where he assisted middle-market clients with their accounting, tax and consulting needs. Previously, Chuck spent twelve years in banking. He earned his BBA and MBA from the University of Texas in Austin and holds professional membership in American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Houston Chapter of TSCPA.
Ronald (Rocky) Stein
Executive Director/Head of Institutional Division
Rocky has a wide range of experience in investment banking as well as sales and trading. Prior to joining Stanford, Rocky was a partner in a regional investment banking firm that specialized in public and private offerings for small and mid-size companies. Before that, he was a retail sales executive with a national brokerage firm. Rocky has a B.A. in Business Administration from Florida International University. Mr. Stein is a member of The National Investment Banking Association (NIBA).
Jason Green
President, Private Client Group
Jason has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined SGC in 1996 as director of Financial Planning, was promoted to senior managing director and, in 2007, became president of the Private Client Group. He was previously at City National Bank of Baton Rouge, where he was director of Financial Advisory Services. At that time City National Bank was a member of First Commerce Corp., the largest bank in Louisiana, which was subsequently acquired by JP Morgan/Chase. Prior to that, Jason was a staff planner with an independent planner. He is chairman of the Baton Rouge AD’T Society [Alexis de Tocqueville Society] for the United Way. Mr. Green holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in economics from Louisiana State University and is a Certified Financial PlannerTM.
Zack Parrish
Executive Director, Wealth Management
Zack joined Stanford Group Company in March 2006 as executive director of Wealth Management. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial management, personal trust administration, and coordination and relationship management for brokerage, private client services, institutional services and personal trust sales in capital management. Mr. Parrish previously was executive vice president for Executive Wealth Management at Compass Bank; chief operating officer at Open Finance Network; and director of Advanced Financial Functions and Strategic Development for First Union National Bank/Wachovia where he focused on financial solutions product development, implementation and delivery. Mr. Parrish holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee.
Bernerd Young
Managing Director of Compliance
Bernerd Young joined Stanford Group Company in July 2006 as Managing Director of Compliance charged with oversight of compliance efforts for Stanford’s broker/dealer and investment advisor activities. Prior to joining Stanford, Mr. Young held a number of positions with the NASD, and was president of Bernerd E. Young & Associates, Inc., a securities compliance consulting firm. A former instructor for NASD’s Phase I training program and the Examiner Workshop, he holds a bachelor of science in business administration and a bachelor of science in economics, both from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
